1. 12 Rue de la Ville-l'Evêque, no. 987, division du Roule. Alexis was born here in 1805.

2. Between 1824 and 1825, Alexis lived with his parents at 77 Rue Saint-Dominique. His parents kept this address until 1830.

3. In 1830, his parents lived at 49 Rue de Verneuil.
Letters were sent to Alexis at this address until 1834.

4. Between 1836 and 1839, Alexis lived at 12 Rue de Bourgogne.

5. Alexis lived at what was once number 37 of the Rue de Fleurus.

6. From 1840 to 1845, Alexis and Marie lived at 11 Rue de Castellane.

7. In 1847, Alexis and Marie lived at 30 bis Rue de la Madeleine.

8. In 1851, Alexis and Marie appear to have lived at 4 Rue de Castellane.

Many of the Tocqueville family houses (Rue Saint-Dominique, Rue de Verneuil, Rue de Bourgogne) were located near the Palais Bourbon. Alexis de Tocqueville held a seat in the Chamber starting in 1839.

Starting in the 1840s, Alexis de Tocqueville and his wife lived near the La Madeleine church (Rue de Castellane and Rue de la Madeleine).
